Research

I’m a PhD student in the Theoretical Neuroscience group at the Central Institute for Mental Health Mannheim, working under the joint supervision of Daniel Durstewitz and Georgia Koppe.

We develop interpretable machine learning methods for dynamical systems reconstruction from multimodal time series data, with psychiatric applications.

I am part of IMMERSE (Implementing Mobile MEntal health Recording Strategy for Europe), collaboration of researchers with the aim to advance the transformation of mental health care in Europe.

Science Communication

I am the host of the Transformative Ideas Podcast, where I discuss cutting edge research from a range of scientific areas with young researchers and world-renowned experts alike.

I host an active science blog on Medium with 5000+ monthly readers, and articles in publications such as TowardsDataScience, TheStartup and DataDrivenInvestor.

I also ocasionally do popular science talks, such as my recent talk on the Neuroscience of Intelligence.

Art

I produce and release electronic music under the name Ease and Composure.

I am also a member of the jazz trio Triolog, based in Heidelberg.

I produce music theory videos on my Youtube Channel.

I further released a book titled „Two Souls“ in 2019.
